Happy Weekend.

This is my goal this weekend. To get out of the funk I’ve been in for the past few weeks and be happy. I’m tired of feeling down, of feeling emotionally exhausted and physically worn out. So watch out happy, cause here I come. (NOTE: A valiant effort will be made, although positive results are not guaranteed.)

This Weekend:
• decorate for fall/Halloween
• chill at one of my fave dive bars with C & K
• make some sort of fall-ish dessert
• grocery shopping
• pay bills (UGH)
• buy stamps
• mail K, D & O birthday gifts
• clean up yard
• keep busy and be distracted
• try and get happy again

HAPPY WEEKEND!

You’ve been sounding a bit out of sorts for the past few weeks. I hope you find whatever you need to get back on track!

New to your blog, and enjoying it thus far. From what I have gathered browsing around you are new to where you are now? I know how that can make for some rough patches (I just moved to New Orleans from Houston last year).

Good luck on the getting back to happy thing.

I believe it was Hemingway who said “The story of our life in the end is not our life, it is our story”. Just keep writing yours (and this blog!) and everything will work out.

    ‘ave a good one!

My life has been a constant rollercoaster of emotions as of late, so I understand wanting the down part to pass. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and find happiness in the small things (start small, grow big!)

kelly, i am so loving your honesty and sweetness! i think september has been a rough month all around — many of my friends have been saying they’re in a funk and i definitely have been too! (i even posted about a sad day: http://joannagoddard.blogspot.com/2008/09/i-am-having-rough-day.html)

i hope you are feeling good this weekend! here are some nice things to feel good about:
    * wearing fall sweaters and jackets (always cozy and nice!)
    * going to a bookstore and reading the magazines
    * smiling (i read that just smiling can make you feel better)
    * the new season of tv shows, like the office.

hang in there my doll!! hope you’re having a great weekend, sending you good vibes. xoxo joanna

Yes keeping busy is great advice. I’ve been in a rut lately myself it seems. Trying to keep busy (yoga and pottery wheel classes) and many good books. Have a wonderful weekend!
