Win It: Thoroughly Curly.

I’m thrilled to be able to introduce Thoroughly Curly Designs and her adorable calling cards as this week’s Win It contest! I think it’s always très chic to have a personal card to hand out as opposed to a business card in certain situations. And lucky, lucky you because you can win the set of your choice!

To enter, take a look at Thoroughly Curly’s calling card gallery and choose your favorite. In the comments tell me which one rocks your world, why you need people to call you and your email address. You have until Tuesday, June 2 at noon CST to enter the contest.

Good luck and may the force be with you!

Happy {Memorial Day} Weekend.

Wowza, am I ready for this three day weekend! I’m fried from work this week and if I have to absorb any more information things are going to start leaking out my ears. I need some R&R in a big way!

What are your plans for Memorial Day weekend?
Staying home or out and about?

This Weekend:
• clean out flower bed
• buy top soil and perennials
• celebrate my mom’s 52nd at Red Prime Steak
• make Jello mold and have photo shoot (for work project)
• eliminate laundry pile
• install new kitchen faucet(?)
• begin planning stages for new DC site (eek!)
• Memorial Day cookout

Happy Memorial Day!
Happy Weekend!

The Daily Eat: Tequila Lime Shrimp + Shrimp Roundup.

Tequila Lime Shrimp is one of those dishes that so easy and tastes so good that you’ll want to lie about it and say it’s a recipe you picked up while summering in Mexico. But we’ll both know the truth.

Starting today I’m going to be adding a little something extra to Friday’s The Daily Eat post – bonus recipes. I have recipes on top of recipes lined up to share with you and I’m sure to never make a dent otherwise. There could be anywhere between one and nine extra dishes included each week depending on what I have laying around. Enjoy!

1. Lemon Cream Bow Ties with Shrimp  2. Shrimp Dip  3. Shrimp Kung Pao  4. Shrimp Toast  5. Shrimp and Grits  6. Lemony Risotto with Asparagus and Shrimp  7. Spiced Butter Poached Shrimp  8. Stir-Fried Shrimp with Tomato Sauce  9. Honey Walnut Shrimp

3 to See.

because she’s super sweet
and I dig her style
and her blog crushes

because I’m completely and utterly paper-obsessed
and she rounds the best of the best up into one place
paper inspiration out the wazoo!

because she makes things like chocolate-coconut covered Cheez Its
and pineapple and bacon poundcake
and makes me want to bite my monitor screen

London 2012 Events.

UPDATE: They were designed by Alan Clarke as proposed posters for the games.

I saw these on ffffound, so there’s a very good chance they’re only someone’s vision of what the events posters should look like for the 2012 London Olympics. But man oh man, am I hoping that they’re the real deal! They would definitely help make up for the disgrace that is the logo.
