Fabric Search.

Ever since seeing Julianne Moore’s knack for decorating a few months back in Domino I’ve been obsessed with the color scheme in this bedroom. I’m stealing the wall color for my bedroom and am on a mad hunt for fabric to sew the curtains out of. (The only thing I’m shying away from is the navy bedspread – I’m way attached to my white down comforter.) I love the bright yellow and am not opposed to some sort of pattern (preferably white – circles perhaps?), but want to keep it low-key since the yellow does a lot of talking on its own. I’ve found some nice Kona Cotton in canary yellow at Repro Depot, but am not 100% sold quite yet.

Any suggestions for affordable curtain fabric?

I LOVE this room too. I say stick with your down comforter and bring the navy in with pillows or art or something on your nightstand.

Oh you’re going to have so much fun decorating your new home (if you don’t make yourself too crazy with all of the possible decisions!) As far as affordable curtains, may I be so bold as to suggest Ikea. I’ve used their curtain panels for the fabric. You can eliminate a tab top that you don’t like, add an accent fabric border, hem to your desired length, etc. I look forward to seeing what you create in your new place. Good luck!
