I made a similar version from Barefoot Contessa a couple weeks back and it was truly to die for. We shared with our neighbors and they’ve yet to stop thanking us. I have a feeling this version will be just as noteworthy. YUM!!

I make a trifle like this but with a cardamom twist. I serve it in a beautiful punch bowl, and most of the time I can’t get rid of it all–because it is so rich! But it is so good, too. I like it as an alternative to pumpkin pie, since I’m not much of a pie person.

We were going in too many directions at our house last week to enjoy the usual Halloween food/fun rituals. Until I saw this recipe, I felt like i’d sat out in the pumpkin patch all night and the Great Pumpkin never came. Will make and take to a dinner party next weekend and give you the glory. Thanks!

I find it difficult to add comments in the presence of praising commments. But one thing for sure the Post’s awesome.
