Somewhere along the way, CB2 has become less the little sister to Crate & Barrel and more the standout. The offshoot has become a destination for affordable modern design that I find myself clamoring for and ogling. CB2’s spring collection is incredible, full of bold modern lines and lots of metallics.
Kinto has a fantastically put mission: Let your day be filled with what inspires you. Slow down, savor, and enrich your life with the things that just feel right in your hands. Their limited product line shows off a dedication to creativity and thoughtfulness that would be at home in any space.
I have a few lovely glazed pieces in my home, but recently I’ve found myself drawn to the look even more. Reiko Kaneko designs fine bone china in elegant, functional shapes; glassware and terracotta that is beautifully thin and light; and pure white china dipped in rich glazes. And I love that there’s constant experimentation in the studio with new reactive glazes!

Mid-Century Stainless Tea Pot with Wood Handle
It’s been downright brutally cold here in the northeast this week, and I’ve been drinking at least three cups of tea a day. When I was a kid my Grandma drilled into my head that heating your water in a kettle rather than in the microwave just made the brew taste that much better, and I’ve lived by that rule. These days I take it a step further and brew in a pot rather than the mug itself, too.

The company has been collaborating with international designers for years, but recently brought HAY Mini Market concept to the United States via MoMA Design Store. It’s basically a shop-within-a-shop collection that features over 230 objects you’re sure to find worthy.
