Unitea Teaware.

At some point during winter I switch from coffee-guzzler to tea-guzzler. It just feels more therapeutic. And the fact that it has more caffeine tends to help out a girl who shows up and leaves work when it’s still dark out.

The Unitea Teaware at Rare Device is so, so pretty. Unfortunately, the tray isn’t included and all the pieces – including mugs – are sold separately.

Tablo Tray and Teak Stand.

The Tablo tray and stand are a beautiful example of form and function. I love bringing varied heights to the table for serving – especially during parties – because it really mixes things up visually. And best of all the stands are available in two different heights to do just that.

In the Kitchen with Anthropologie.

Anthropologie is tops in my book for more reasons than I can name, but my favorites always tend to be in their kitchenwares. I’ve mentioned before how if I had all the kitchen gadgets, dinnerware, etc that I was lusting after I’d need a room the size of an entire house. I’ve already got more than enough, but keep finding more! Here are just a few new pieces that I’m after from the Big A.

Bijoux Cake Stands.

Glazed always does it for me. Glazed donuts? Awesome. Glazed kitchenwares? Equally incredible. These Bijoux cake stands from Clara French Ceramiques look like someone dumped easter egg dye over them and then decided to just let it go.

Cafe Style Tea for One.

Any Design Crush regular should have picked up on the fact that I love mugs and teapots. I love them even more when they’re stacked together as a unit like the Cafe Style Tea for One. It even features a built-in stainless steel strainer for brewing loose leaf tea. Most tea paraphernalia that I’m attracted to is simple white, but I’m loving the vibrant colors in this case.

pata-pata.

Posting is going to be on the light side today due to the fact that I’m working on a sizable web update for a client.

But I couldn’t resist sharing the pata-pata folding pot mat. It’s so sleek and simple and folds up for easy storage which you gotta love. Can I just tell you how difficult it is to find a decent pot mat (aka trivet) these days? They’re all horrible looking. I actually received a ceramic one for Christmas that’s a cat. Needless to say, it’s headed to Goodwill. I sure wish Santa would have brought me one of these instead . . .

Bluebird & Trees Carafe.

The Bluebird & Trees carafe by Shinzi Katoh is covered with beautiful, simple illustrations of, you guessed it, bluebirds and trees. It’s made from heat-resistant glass so you can fill it to the brim with either hot or cold beverages. All I know is that it makes me crave orange juice real bad …

Sugar Lump.

I can’t recall ever having used a sugar lump myself, but that’s not stopping me. I love the design and grid structure of the Sugar Lump by Kathleen Hills so much that it just might make me start asking “One lump or two?”
