Beacon Bookmarks.
I read. A lot. More in the winter when the weather isn’t cooperating, but just a lot in general. My love of books leaves me forever looking for something to mark my place – be it a receipt, a magazine subscription card, or a tissue (unused!). I had a lovely pewter bookmark my grandmother gave me a few Christmases ago, but it went MIA somewhere in the moved from Cleveland to Oklahoma City.
I’m loving these wooden bookmarks from etsy seller Beacon Bookmarks. They look sturdy and are coated with a water-based clear satin finish for protection. I may need to order myself a K.

April 30, 2008 at 2:21 amCool! I’m with you, books are an addiction. I haven’t been reading since the weather turned nice, but it hasn’t kept me from buying them. So now my nightstand has at least 6 waiting to be read.

April 30, 2008 at 1:49 pmLOVE these… I have been looking for a pretty marker as well. I’m going to have to go check these out.
Also, I just stumbled across a fun thing for booklovers this morning… something called Shelfari. You can post your books you own/have read/want to read and read/write reviews. A friend invited me and I’d be happy to send you the link!

June 10, 2008 at 6:47 pmI love to read but my problem with bookmarks is that the ones I really like cost almost 9 bucks and sorry, that’s a bit steep for a bookmark in my book (wow… what a booky sentence). so I’ve planned on doing my own bookmarks. We’ll see how they turn out and who knows, maybe I can do something cool, or maybe I’ll make something that sucks.
