Starbuck’s Spash Stick.
Splash sticks — plastic plugs for sip holes with tops in the shape of the Starbucks siren to keep your beverage from spilling out. Basically a cocktail stirrer for your coffee as well. All in all a good idea in my book, but I can where it might be a bit of pain to have to remove every single time you want to take a sip.

Shouldn’t they be designing reusable products and accessories, or working on reshaping their business plan to better accommodate customers who want to supply their own reusable containers? This item says, “It’s okay to buy a disposable cup every day—in fact, let’s make it more convenient!”

it’s a disposable item. like a coffee stirrer. i agree 100% that they should be looking at the green side of things and that’s actually been an issue that i’ve seen mentioned relating to this item.
cheers!

June 9, 2008 at 7:24 pmMy husband introduced me to these a couple weeks ago. He’s a huge fan but the jury’s still out for me. I like it for delivering others their drinks, but such a pain for your own drink. What to do with the sticky, drippy stick when it’s your own and your driving? I usually go without. As far as aesthetics go, it does get a 10 though.
