I know how you feel. When I met my fiance, he was dating a very jealous someone. We chatted on and off as friends, and then off for a period of 7 or 8 months. I was totally in love with him, at first sight, the whole sappy deal. Eventually his relationship ended, and I hoped he’d come around and have feelings for me and well…it ended well. But before that I was on the bad end of every hope and romantic quandry. Don’t fret, every closed door is an open window someplace else.
I was best friends with this guy and within a very short time, I fell unequivocally in love with him. Unfortunately, he never felt the same way and we parted in a not so nice manner. It’s been several years now and he’s in Spain as a missionary teacher and we exchange brief emails every now and then. I still sometimes think that given half a chance, I’d fall for him all over again. 🙁
Why is it that I never seem to fall on the preferable side of this quote?
