Puppy Love.
If all goes well we’ll be adding a new member to the pet family tonight! After work I’m going to meet this sweet girl who an acquaintance has been fostering for the past week. She’s about two years old, 25 lbs and looks to have a little Jack Russell terrier in her breeding. Right now she’s going by the name of Piper, but I’m toying with the idea of changing it. (She was a stray, so she’s not exactly used to it.) And here’s where you come in…
What should I name her?
I need ideas! Do your best, if I end up going with a name one of you suggested I’ll be sending a little thank you out in the mail.

July 28, 2009 at 2:49 pmMy mother's dog growing up was named Piper and so when we got our little Silkie, we named her Pippa…congrats and good luck! I love cool names, dogs can't have such girly names…How about doing an Austen shout out and going with something like Bennett or Darcey?
Can't wait to see more pics!

July 28, 2009 at 3:06 pmPiper is cute. She has the coloring of a dog I lost a few years ago so I will put her name in the hat "Dempsey". Congratulations on the newest member of your family.

July 28, 2009 at 3:40 pmOne of our dogs is named Zuzu Petals. My husband and I decided on that because we both LOVE the movie "it's a wonderful life" Personally I think it's a great name!

If you're looking for a cute collar for her, I highly recommend Cody's Creations on Etsy – amazing customer service and cute products. She also donates part of her proceeds to her local shelter & drops off lots of collars to the pups there.

July 28, 2009 at 11:12 pmcopying some of the others I adore OLIVE. It will look nice on dog beds, collars and really fits her pic. I also think Ollie, or Lucy, or Midge would be cute.

August 3, 2009 at 5:35 amsuch a cute pup!
My friend, when at her boyfriend's place, once heard a woman yelling Tommy over and over and ran outside to help, thinking she had lost her son – it was her outdoor cat. So, no Suzy or Michelle…
Piper is cute.
I love the name Biscuit, but maybe that is more boyish.
have fun!
