Pancake Heaven
Or “pan-a-cakes” as I called them, until an all too late age. I’m not a lover of maple syrup on my pancakes, so I like alternative recipes that either don’t require any or use a different variation of topping. But my favorite are a simple tried and true buttermilk recipe with fresh blueberries in the batter. (As always, click on the photo to be taken to the recipe and source.)

February 16, 2011 at 12:50 pmThank you for the wonderful post! I love pan-a-cakes (we call them that or pannycakes depending on our mood and audience) and I love the combination’s you featured! My favorite is just plain buttermilk with butter on top and a fried egg on the side. No syrup need apply. A close second is oatmeal pancakes with peanut butter and a touch of honey on top. I eat those for lunch!

February 17, 2011 at 9:02 amYou put together the best recipe compilations! Those all look so amazing, and I am no breakfast person by any means! I think I’m most looking forward to trying the brown butter pumpkin pancakes.
My all-time-favorite pancake recipe [so far] is Ina Garten’s Banana Sour Cream Pancakes – http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/banana-sour-cream-pancakes-recipe/index.html
