Hair Stories
PHOTO: Karin Stack
This is easily one of the bravest projects I’ve ever shared with you. Artist and cancer surviver Karin Stack went through chemo, then tracked the regrowth of her hair in Hair Stories. Here’s to survival. (via Design For Mankind)

May 11, 2011 at 6:24 pmAs a cancer survivor, I know how brave this is. I don’t think there’s a single picture of me bald because I was so depressed about it.

May 11, 2011 at 7:03 pmyou are a fearless female and that is how i now choose to live my life. i see you and how brave you are to help us heal with you. The thing that frightened me the most about life was to be a bald house wife. I am and i’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Living at the speed of life, Angie gibbs

May 29, 2012 at 8:23 pmI found this on Pinterest, and I look at it all the time to see where I fall on it. Thank you for doing this, I knew what to expect ad it truly helped. It’s sad that losing my hair was probably the hardest and saddest part, but it was something I was proud of. I am proud to be a survivor now and on my way back to feeling like me again. Thank you again. Hope your recovery was quick and you are doing well. Here’s to NED!
