Win It: for me, for you.
Holy crap am I excited about this giveaway! Kate and I started talking about this a few months before her new shop was even up and running. And now the day is finally here and I’m thrilled – thrilled I tell you – to announce this week’s giveaway from for me, for you! Lovely and awesome Kate is giving away a digital print of the massively cool I Employ Magical Thinking to one of you lucky ducks!
To Enter:
1. If you had a superpower what would it be?
2. Leave your name, a last initial and your email address. (Unfortunately, those who do not will be automatically disqualified.)
So let’s hear ’em! Can you fly? Are you invisible? Or is it something miles cooler that we’ve never even thought of? A random winner will be announced shortly after the contest ends. Good luck and check out Kate’s blog of the same name – for me, for you – in the meantime!

June 8, 2009 at 6:01 pmTeleportation would be the best power to have for sure! Jenni already mentioned it but I think it simply be the most useful power ever.
I recently went to an out of town camping tournament, and having this power would surely have saved me some headaches and repeat purchases!
Good luck to everyone!

June 8, 2009 at 7:54 pmThis is a tough question. I think at this moment I would pick my superpower to be cure sickness. I am never a fan of being sick or watching others not be well. I think I would want to eradicate sickness so I think I would make that my superpower!

June 8, 2009 at 8:18 pmIf I had a superpower, as lame as this is, it would be to move around large, heavy objects with my hands. Specifically, I would be able to scoot poorly parked cars backward or forward so that they are no longer taking up too much room.
I work in a neighborhood with very little free parking. Many people take up another half a spot with their poorly parallel-parked cars and a bunch of good spots are wasted every day. It drives me crazy! I want to just shoosh them all together and free up that wasted space.
Thanks!

June 9, 2009 at 1:23 amI have always said that I wanted the power to teleport. Travel is the thing I want most to do and have the least opportunity to accomplish. I like Jenni's idea that if we hug someone while teleporting they can come too π First stop: Paris, second stop: Venice, third stop: Australia… this is fun! (Also, with this power, I could move somewhere else and still see my friends and family regularly!)

If I could have a superpower, I would definitely be able to manipulate the weather.
There are just some times when you crave a rainy day, or you NEED that sunshine to bring back some optimism. My moods tend to run with the weather, as do others.
and I've never seen snow. π

I would be able to fly. Perhaps it's unoriginal in these times – we have several flying superheros now-a-day. But I don't care. It's classic. And sometimes I really REALLY want to see the ocean (ummm..I live in the desert)

June 9, 2009 at 1:39 pmFirst time seeing your blog…all the cute stuff makes me smile =) So, if I had a super magical power… it's probably redundant, but, I'd want the ability to open portals to travel into different places/worlds/universes, so that, you know, if I felt like flying one day *BAM!* i'd open up a portal and walk into a world were you can fly…or where animals can talk…or where Atlantis exists..or even a portal back in time…or do that whole Jodie Foster wormhole traveling like in "Contact"….or any world/place/universe of my making. Right now I'd open up a portal where I can be in the Bahamas tanning and sipping on some rum punch…with Edward Cullen, cause he'd exist in that world.

June 9, 2009 at 4:11 pmFun contest! I'd love the power to feel exactly what another person feels at any given moment in time. An emotional sponge, so to speak. I know that's not a typical superpower wish, and it certainly won't bring solely pleasure, but empathy is a valuable skill that I'm always trying to cultivate as both a writer and a person.
