The Big Three-Oh.
Farewell, dear 20s. You were fantastic, amazing and all of the above. You’ll now find me browsing the In Your 30s section of Cosmo and overhauling my skincare routine.
Looks like I’m sharing today with some pretty good company: Matthew McConaughey (40), Trishelle Cannatella (30), Heather Tom (34), Diddy (40), Jeff Probst (47), Ralph Macchio (48), Kathy Griffin (49), Markie Post (59), Laura Bush (63), Loretta Swit (72) and Doris Roberts (79).
PS: To ease my pain on this momentous day, please feel free to send virtual presents…

November 4, 2009 at 4:11 pmHappy Birthday! I will be singing the same "see ya later 20s" song in a bit over three months. Let me know how 30 sinks in.
Did you know we have to check off a new box now? No longer in the 18-29 marketing bracket. Now THAT hurts. But I know you will do it gracefully and with some fabulous design.
miss warrior to you

November 4, 2009 at 6:01 pmWelcome to the club! I chuckled when I read your skincare routine comment because I think the same thing every time I'm leafing through those kinds of mags. Oh, really, now it's time for anti-wrinkle cream? *Wrinkles nose*

November 4, 2009 at 9:15 pmHappy Birthday – I am sending you the virtual version of my big 3-0 present my husband has organised for me –
a four day trip to the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, staying in a boutique hotel/spa and an award winning restaurant!
I am so lucky to have the actual version of this to take my mind off the dreading about this BIG birthday!
30 is still young – keep telling yourself that! xx
Have a fab day

November 5, 2009 at 3:43 amfunny how we outgrow magazines. i remember when 17 mag became irrelevant and then glamour – somewhere around 38. suddenly, magazines like architectural digest are starting to look good. but if i start reading more or town and country, please somebody, shoot me.

November 8, 2009 at 5:32 pmWhen I turned 26 this year, I thought I was gonna die! I literally did not want to get out of bed, because my sister notified me that I am approaching the late 20's. I realized that in actual fact, it's not so bad. In fact, it's just like last year!
I sincerely and truly hope that when I reach 30, I'm going to be positive, happy and delighted about it! Because it's really just a number. A stupid number. But a number none the less!
Have a great one!

November 9, 2009 at 3:22 amHappy birthday…! (and good to "meet" you and your cute blog). You know my sister and I were chatting the other day… (I'm 25 and she's 42). She was saying that she felt her most beautiful- not in her 20's- but in her 30's…because she finally knew who she was!
xoxo,
Kate

November 11, 2009 at 10:15 pmHappy Birthday! Just think of all those "doh" moments you can now refer to with the flick of your wrist "ahh, yesss, well, you know, that was back in my 20s…"
