Win It: Bread of Many.
This week I’m really stoked to share the artistic talents of Haley of Bread of Many, a D.C. transplant now living abroad in Cambridge, England. I love the raw quality of all of Haley’s illustrations, clean but not too polished. Real.
This week she’s gifting one of you with a set of HUSH note cards (as seen the Winter 2010 issue of Vogue Knitting). Six flat note cards with matching envelopes, featuring an illustration of a little girl knitting sweetly in the corner. Perfect for sending a note or jotting down a quick list.
To Enter, Tell Me:
1. What’s a skill or hobby you would like to learn?
2. Your email address, in case you’re the winner! (Those who skip this step will sadly be disqualified.)
3. Do it all by Monday, Janry 25th at 9am CST

January 19, 2010 at 7:47 amI would like to learn how to frame. I have so many prints, photographs and illustrations that have to make do with Ikea and Target frames (that are always just a little bit large or small). I would love to win these notecards for one of my friends who is an avid knitter and crocheter. Bread of Many is lovely – I have some of Haley's letter-pressed notecards and they're beautiful.

January 19, 2010 at 10:03 pmThese Bread of Many sets are the kind of inspiration that a girl needs to keep at her knitting when she keeps frogging projects, and her knowledge of knitting blogs and terms (frog!) is better than her actual knitting. I'd love to really learn how to knit a project to completion!

January 20, 2010 at 5:54 amAs a wedding gift, my sister's father-in-law built me (and my husband) a mountain dulcimer. Whenever we are around them they always play music and sing old folk songs. I want that to be part of our family so I'm trying trying trying to teach myself how to play. I love it!

January 20, 2010 at 10:13 pmBread! More specifically, sourdough – which means taking care of a culture. I've only tried once (a few months ago) but it was completely unsuccessful! Now, after scouring beautiful borrowed books and sifting through the different tips and opinions I am almost ready to try again…deep breath! If it does work then I might have bread for many (oh dear)…
