Remember Honda’s Cog commercial that was filmed in one fell swoop after hundreds of takes? If so, renew your love. If not prepare yourself for love at first sight.
Actually, I read somewhere that they had to break it up into two takes, because the room wasn’t long enough to do it all in one single pan. (But the “hundreds of takes” part’s totally right…whew.) No matter how many times you’ve seen it before, it’s still amazing to watch!

And that’s why you go in to advertising. But it’s rare yo get to do something as flat out fantastic. The creative team should have been given a year off with pay.
That spot always reminds me of a very fashionable take on a Japanese show called Pythagoras Switch. It’s an educational show for kids in Japan with little spots of marbles and different things doing neat little stunts or courses. Not sure what came first and I don’t think it matters. The Cog commercial as well as a couple of other spots from Honda are as good as advertisements get in many instances.
I stumbled across the link a few years back and regularly put it on to smile like a goofy little kid. Here’s the link:
