Does anyone else think of the fuzzy fruit-titled Presidents of the United States of America when they hear the word “peaches”? No? Just me? Okay then. I’m kicking off Peach Week with this awesome (RE: easy!) Triple Crust Peach Cobbler. Yum!
A super easy recipe for Red Wine and Raspberry Sorbet that looks melty and delicious. Really fitting for the hottest day of the year so far here in OKC!
A Raspberry, Almond and Cream Layer Cake that looks like it probably takes a entire afternoon to make. But I’m 99.9% sure it’s well worth it and then some.
Raspberry Crumb Cake that uses a box cake mix as its base. Hey, sometimes a girl needs a go-to dessert that doesn’t require fifty different steps, a stand mixer and the patience of a saint!
Raspberries trump all other berries in my book. Every time. So there’s no way I could let the summer get away from me without dedicating a week to the little juicy gems.
These Raspberry Honey Shortcakes look perfectly summery and a great way to kick off what’s sure to be one of my favorite weeks!
No one in their right mind could feature crab meat without including at least one recipe for crab cakes. I’m dying to try this one out. It seems like the crab would pair really well with the zesty key lime mustard sauce.
I like the chef’s idea of pairing this easy crab dip with a bottle of wine and a baguette on a sunny afternoon. Preferably one involving a cool breeze, not 100ยบ temperatures which makes today less than ideal.
Over the moon ecstatic is the phrase I would use to best describe my emotions when I came across this recipe for crab rangoon. If I could eat them every day I would. The Crab Rangoon Diet. I’d probably be dead in a month’s time, but at least I’d go happy! The good part with this version is that baking is an option if you don’t want to go the deep fryer route. Oh, and they also have actual crab in them which most of the buffet versions do not.
This marks the very first time something other than a fruit or vegetable has been showcased on The Daily Eat. Seafood seems best suited to summertime with its light, flaky textures and their veritable platter of opportunities. I debated about having one week only devoted to Seafood, but when I looked at all the recipes I have marked realized there’s no way that I could share all I wanted under just one banner. Crab happens to be my favorite, so I hope you enjoy!
This crab quiche recipe is super simple – you use store-bought crust! – and can be easily changed up to suit other main ingredients (i.e. veggies, ham, etc.). I love the idea of little pops of flavor from the succulent pieces of crab mixed into the fluffy egg mixture.
