This room looks just like Saturday afternoon to me. Open windows, a stack of books and lots of light. I love the open airy feeling of this nook with hanging lanterns and a wall covered in art with ornate, monochromatic frames. I can just imagine myself curled up with a good book and a mug of coffee. And those really are the best rooms, aren’t they?
Seems like gazpacho has become somewhat of a trendy dish lately (I’m nothing if not up on the trends). It’s basically cold, raw veggie soup with a tomato base. A perfectly light summer dish that when served with crusty French bread is irresistible.
I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of Patricia Zapata’s first papercrafts book – Home, Paper, Scissors:Decorative Paper Accessories for the Home. You may know Patricia from her blog, A Little Hut. This book shares thirty easy projects that can be used as decor, entertaining or gifts. Perfect with the holidays only a few months away. Congrats on your first published book, Patricia!
I look too wrinkled? I do, right? I’m wrinkled. Shoot. Should I steam? Maybe I could hang it in the shower for a minute. Wait, no…it’s already 9:15! Omigod I am so late. Shoot, I cannot go out like this. Can I? Maybe if I blow-dry it I can get some wrinkles out! Perfect.
Ouch! S#it, damnit, what the, I burned my leg! Omigod ow. You know what? Screw it. It’s 92 f’ing degrees out anyway. I don’t even care if I’m wrinkled. Stupid job. At least I tried. Unlike Dumpy McDumperson Boss Lady. She’ll probably wear her “sensible shoes” again. Heinous. Whatever. All right, I’m out of here. Love you, see you later, hon!!
Oh, s#it. Where are my keys? Have you seen my KEYS??!!
