I consider myself one of the lucky ones because my mom truly is my best friend. A few weeks ago I sent her a invitation to join me for a Mother’s Day luncheon Sunday. I think I’ve narrowed the menu down to strawberry poppyseed salad, roast chicken and sage pesto paninis and blackberry mousse. I think I’ll also have a big vase of flowers sitting on the kitchen table for her when she arrives at my house!
For those of you who are last minute here are a few links to check out:
• DIY Mother’s Day door hanger from Twig & Thistle
• downloadable card from Spagat
• downloadable Happy Mother’s Day banner from Poppytalk
• card for the dads to give via Ambrosia Girl
This Weekend:
• shop for ingredients and make Sunday’s luncheon
• schedule fence and gutter installations
• schedule Peanut’s annual vet appointment
• LAUNDRY!!!
• cookout at C+H’s
• price storm doors
Do have big plans to either spoil or be spoiled this weekend for Mother’s Day? Or maybe both?
Happy Weekend!
Happy Mother’s Day!

Posted In happy weekendFinch Metal has the most delicate looking handmade jewelry. And what makes it even better – yes, it’s possible – is that every month 10% of all proceeds are donated to a different charity. As if I needed even more of a reason to buy their goods!

I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I’d never tried a Mango Lassi until about a year ago. And WOW did it ever knock my socks off! Now I’d have at least one a day if I could.

Posted In paper goods, postersI love the flavors in gingerbread, so I can only imagine that the addition of mangoes and macadamia nuts would make it just that much better!

PS: The Daily Eat has really turned into a labor of love. I’ve been dieting for about a week and a half now (-6 lbs!) and all food that I can’t eat looks that much better! Anything for you though. No, really. My suffering is nothing as long as you all have some food porn to look at! (I kid, I kid.)
