Friday after work is my absolute favorite time of the week. Hopefully everything has been left at the office and there are two lovely free days staring me right in the face. Usually a sense of anticipation is hanging around wondering what the weekend will hold. I love that feeling.
This Weekend:
• dinner with my mom
• girls’ night
• laundry (it’s sooo bad)
• frame art for the “gallery wall” in my living room
• catch up on some reading!
Happy Weekend!

I have a confession… I’m not a big pizza eater. Maybe I overdid it in college, or maybe my tastes have just changed, but these days it takes a special pie to get me interested. Like this Bell Pepper, Red Onion and Goat Cheese Pizza which makes me want to lick the screen. YUM!

Posted In recipesI’m really digging the work of artist Simon Evans. He’s currently exhibiting at the James Cohan Gallery in New York (February 20 – April 4, 2009). Evans is an extraordinary artist and I’m especially intrigued by his piece Everything I Have. It really made me take a minute and think about weeding out the unnecessary things in my life.
This past month was chalk full of incredible DIY projects, freebies and amazing finds! Check out February’s Mad Props!
Posted In mad propsTen Dollar Drawings is a very inventive idea by artist Alicia Carrier. She’ll draw the subject of your choosing on a 5 x 7″ piece of brown paper bag (or white paper if you prefer) for just ten bucks. And these aren’t your typical doodles because Alicia is oozing talent. The entire project is an effort to be in the practice of drawing every day and save up a little money on the side. Off to order mine now!

These mouth-watering Fig and Goat Cheese Scones are deceptively simple when made as drop biscuits. Try experimenting with different types of seasonal fruit in place of the figs.
