Posted In tattoosI’m digging this Three Tier Wall Jewelry Stand. Pretty sure I’d be using the bottom row of hooks exclusively for scarves and small bags though instead of necklaces. It’s just too perfect.

Posted In accessories, house and homeTruth be told, I never saw what the big deal is about caramel or candy apples. I mean, the gooey parts get stuck behind your front teeth and underneath it all, well, it’s just an apple. Then I saw CHOW’s version of Tricked-Out Caramel Apples and totally get it…

Posted In recipesThe instant I saw snippets from 2 1/2-months-to-new-year’s-resolutions Resolutions I was in love. There’s just something special about seeing someone else put your very thoughts into words.

Check out the instructions for creating a Holley Portrait on Daniel Eatock’s site. I’m totally doing this…
Write a short text about yourself (300 words min / 500 words max) include interests, likes, dislikes, future plans etc. Using black ink make a careful print from your thumb. Enlarged your black and white thumb print to approximately the size of your face. Using a clean sheet of A3 paper, handwrite your text following the contour lines from your thumb print (you can use tracing paper, or thin copy paper) Final result: You should have a combination of your own words, in your handwriting, in the pattern of your finger print forming a personal self portrait.

Posted In graphic designOoey and gooey and oh so delicious, it’s Caramel Week!
I’m absolutely craving sweets today and would do just about anything to have a slice of this mouthwatering Caramel and Cream Layer Cake sitting in front of me. I guarantee it would be gone in less than sixty seconds!

Posted In recipesAs everyone should know by now the presidential election is November 4th, only four measly days after Halloween. So if you’re feeling extra passionate about your candidate why not carve their likeness into your jack-o-lantern this year? Download templates for Obama, Biden, McCain and Palin right here.

Posted In monday goodnessWoohoo for the weekend! Autumn weather finally showed up here in Oklahoma this week in the form of a cool front. I’ll take it! I’ve spent evenings layered up (because I refuse to turn on my heater just yet) and drinking tea. And nights cozied up in bed under layers of covers. This time of year always makes me homesick for Pennsylvania and the fantastic fall temperatures and changing leaves though.
This Weekend:
• start looking for recipes for Christmas cookies (I’m going to make a bunch to take home to PA with me!)
• purchase the last piece for my Halloween costume
• eat copious amounts of Halloween candy
• finish painting china cabinet
• Mistletoe Market with my mama
• clean kitchen
Happy Weekend!
