Drawing From Life: The Journal as Art.
I’ve long considered sketchbooks and journals art in their own right. Maybe not always finished pieces, but embryonic thoughts and ideas that came to fruition elsewhere. Jennifer New has taken this idea and compiled 31 list-, chart-, and sketch-filled journals by painters, filmmakers, engineers, designers, and other visual thinkers into Drawing From Life: The Journal as Art.
