Alcoholidays
ILLUSTRATION: Winter Wonderland by FloraFauna
It is my belief that a little alcohol (or a lot…) can help take the edge off when family and friends get to be a bit too “festive” during the holidays. And, well, it’s also nice to have a few cocktails in your arsenal for holiday parties, uninvited guests, and Tuesdays in your back pocket. Here’s a little comprehensive list that I’ll be, er, researching over the next few weeks.

December 15, 2011 at 8:01 pmMy great-uncle would always bring a giant bowl of Tom & Jerry mix when he and my great-aunt would come visiting at the holidays. He would make non-alcoholic mugs for my sister and I — basically hot water with a HUGE mound of foamy, sweet meringue. Kid heaven!
They’re a little sweet for my taste these days, but I always get the urge to make a batch for Christmas in honor of Howard…
Thanks for sharing the list — definitely worthy of some “research”!
