Yea.

And that’s all I’ll say about that. But I am interested in seeing who Barack taps for his VP. The saga continues!

On the Rocks: Mulberry Bramble.

The Mulberry Bramble – or basically whatever berry you decide on using really – looks like something that could get me in trouble. I can just picture myself have a few too many of these and paying for it the next day. Yikes.

Ingredients:
– 1½ oz gin
– ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
– ½ oz simple syrup
– ¾ oz créme de framboise
– 4 mulberries

Muddle the four mulberries and créme de framboise well in a mixing glass and set aside.

Build the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup in an old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Pour the muddled berries and liqueur over the ice and serve.

Air Fork One.

Yes, definitely a Hardy-Har-Har product. But Air Fork One made me chuckle none the less. And from an adult perspective – albeit sans offspring – I suspect it might make feeding time a bit more entertaining for the both of you.

Crestview Doors.

Crestview Doors design and build custom entry doors inspired by vintage 1950’s and 1960’s designs. So many gorgeous options. Right now the front door on my house is white. And boring. One of these bad boys is definitely not in my budget at the moment, but I’m thinking of ways I can spruce up the existing one a bit. (In an economical way of course.) Paint perhaps. Suggestions?

Gazing.

This photograph is breathtaking. I can’t even imagine living in Paris and being able to hang out near the Eiffel Tower whenever the mood struck. *Sigh*

Sweetbeets.

These modern children’s cards by Sweetbeets caught my eye this afternoon. I’d love to have a print of her four dominos card framed in my studio/office!

Let’s Play House: Ceiling Fans.

So, so many of you have inquired about my new house that I’m absolutely flattered! I don’t close until July 9th and won’t be posting any pictures of the place until I get everything in its place, but I am starting a new blog section – Let’s Play House. Here’s where I’ll be detailing the process up until the point I can show actual photos of mi casa.

Saturday I headed to Home Depot for a ceiling fan and ended up leaving with not one, but two. One for the master bedroom and one for the living room. The living space has a vaulted ceiling and needs a little extra air flow. Both are from the Hampton Bay line. I haven’t decided which will go where yet, but I’m thinking the Four Winds (left) will hang in the bedroom because I have a black wrought iron bed, while the Edgemont (right) will go in the living room where things are a little more modern. And it has reversible blades – black and mahogany.

The toughest decision so far? Paint colors!

Stay tuned…
