Excuse and an Update.

This week has been incredibly busy and strange all at the same time. Posting should be back to normal come Monday.

Updates:
• I’m almost over this awful virus (nothing a little alcohol won’t kill!)
• I made a freestyle apple tart yesterday for Chris’s belated birthday treat
• I’ve decided to recycle my Halloween costume from two years ago this October 31st… with a twist
• I found out one of my very best friends is moving to Tulsa for six months while her husband is out to sea with the Navy(!) – which means she’ll only be an hour’s drive away
• After 2 1/2 years of living in Oklahoma I finally gave in and got my OK driver’s license this morning – just in time for the election!

That’s right. Give in to being a Sooner, through and through. Give in to letting your democratic vote go to waste, knowing at least one person by the name of Joe-Bob, and the ability to drive in any direction for ten minutes and find a cow.

I’ve been an Okie my whole life. It’s not a bad way to live. 🙂

(Have I told you yet that I’m addicted to your blog? Probably not, because I stalk more than I comment. But I am.)

I can relate to the driver’s license issue. It took me five years before I finally changed my license to D.C. Once I did, they noticed that I had lived in the District for over three months and slapped me with a $100 fine for delaying my registration. I had no idea that it is required to register within the state that you live within 30 days…
