Halloween Ribbon Wreath.

Love, love this idea for a Halloween ribbon wreath. So simple and stylish – especially if you’re not one to go all out for the 31st. I’d actually like to adapt this to other holidays as well!

Supplies:
12″ foam wreath form
24 yards 1 1/4″ black grosgrain ribbon (or less if using a wider ribbon)
Scissors
Measuring tape
Steps:

Directions:
Cut 45-50 16″ pieces of ribbon. Tie one strand of ribbon in a knot around the wreath. I used a “messy knot” — right over left, then right over left again, pulling in the opposite direction. It doesn’t really matter how you do it as long as you are consistent all the way around. Repeat with the knots, pushing them close together, until you fill the wreath. Cut one long piece of ribbon (48″) and tie one end to form a knot. Leave a long loop for hanging and tie another knot onto the wreath. Trim any frayed or long ends.

I never comment on your blog because I’m intimidated by it’s coolness. BUT, I am TOTALLY going to make this wreath for my home! Love it!

this is superb…just the right amount of fall flavor in a sleek gray, but nothing too overwhelming. i wasn’t as creative, but my black and purple feather wreath on my door has been a big hit all month!

Way too cool! I’m having a Hallowe’en Party this year, and this wreath will allow me to get some spooky flair without some of the tackiness that can happen with the Hallowe’en kitsch!

    Thanks!

I am all over this project! I was just thinking yesterday how I needed a cute Halloween wreath, but the black boa/feather thing isn’t quite my style. Thanks for the great idea!

I have been trying to think up some cute holiday gifts that won’t make me poor, and this morning I woke up and remembered this post on your blog… I’m going to try to adapt this as a Christmas and/or year-round wreath! Here’s hoping it turns out… thanks for the great idea!
