Häagen-Dazs five.
Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m a freak of nature and don’t really like ice cream all that much. But I’d be willing to look the other way and try Häagen-Dazs five. It’s all natural with only five (heh) ingredients and some pretty eye-catching packaging. And the flavors looks like something I might be interested in: mint, ginger, coffee, vanilla bean, passion fruit, brown sugar and milk chocolate. Has anyone tried it out yet?

June 25, 2009 at 2:20 pmYes! I am a self-proclaimed ice cream snob and I tried the "five" coffee and it was DELICIOUS! I love the notion of eating natural ice cream and seeing all of the ingredients…on the front of the package. Genius and long over-due.

June 25, 2009 at 4:55 pmThe only one I have tried was the Brown Sugar. I was prepared to be addicted (I can eat brown sugar right out of the jar), but to be completely honest, I did not care for it at all. It had a weird dry texture and lack any sort of creaminess. It's been a few weeks, but I seem to remember being pretty underwhelmed by the flavor as well.
All that being said, everyone else seems to have loved it, so maybe I am just crazy or I got a bum pint.:)

June 25, 2009 at 7:35 pmYes! It's unreal. I preferred the brown sugar and mint to the coffee one. Seriously, I don't think I'll buy any other ice cream any again from the grocery store.
I had ben and jerry's yesterday. First time having ice cream since I've been eating Five. No comparison. The texture, flavor and quality was NOTHING compared to Five.

June 26, 2009 at 12:04 amYou are one of the only other people that I know who doesn't *love* ice cream…it is OK, but I'm not crazy about it. These do seem yummy, though! Passionfruit is intriguing.

June 27, 2009 at 9:00 pmI'm obsessed. One night, I walked a cumulative 50-60 blocks to four different stores looking for a new flavor to try. I've had passion fruit, mint, coffee, and chocolate. Passion fruit is my favorite. It is SO creamy. The mint and chocolate were also delicious (though I found myself missing chocolate chips in the mint-flavor) and the coffee was as good or better than any other coffee ice cream I can remember eating.

July 1, 2009 at 12:45 pmI have…this is the ice cream I buy most when I buy it by the pint at the grocery store. We buy almost everything organic, cruelty-free, etc, so I love that this has only five ingredients. The coffee and mint flavors are my favorite, but the other day I bought some passion fruit, which we are excited to try out.
Eating LOTS of ice cream these days, oh yes!
