Pewter Stoneware.
My grandmother has an impressive china cabinet in her dining room filled to the brim with heavy pewter pieces and chunky white stoneware that we only bring out for holidays and special occasions. She’s been collecting it all for ages and I can’t help but associate the two things with her and her delicious cooking. I think that’s why this pewter stoneware first struck a chord in me. But then I realized what a daring fusion it was of two distinct styles and couldn’t stop staring.

Is there actual pewter in the glaze?
Either way, I just love the look.

Bummer for us, our pattern was discontinued a few years after we married. I'm thinking I could supplement with these — they have a very similar feel.
