Win It: OKCityCard.

This week we’re trying a little something different on the Win It front – a locals only giveaway for Oklahoma City. When Allied Arts contacted me about their OKCityCard I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to spread the word about this incredible little piece of plastic.

This year they’ve team up with 181 discount partners to save you tons around OKC. We’re talking about 16 Attractions + Events, 26 Performing Arts, 58 Shops + Services, 48 Restaurants, 11 Museums, 7 Galleries, 5 Sports, 7 Classes and 3 Hotels. Total madness and all for $50 that go towards supporting the arts. That is unless you’re a Design Crush reader in the OKC area because then, well, you have a chance at winning one of two OKCityCards for free. I love free.

To Enter, Tell Me:
1. Your favorite things to do in OKC on your days off
2. Your email address
3. Do it all before Monday, April 19th at 9am CST

The Fine Print: A reminder that this giveaway is for those of you living in Oklahoma City only. Please leave only one comment. Those who do not leave a valid email address will be disqualified. Winners will be selected randomly and contacted Monday, April 19th.

    I love going to Cuppies & Joe and enjoying one of their amazing cupcakes and life-changing chai lattes on the patio. Or hitting up Big Truck Tacos. Or driving around Heritage Hills with the windows down. and looking at all of the beautiful houses.

    Wow – where to begin on fave things? When it's nice outside, I like going up to TLC to check out the flowers and get inspired on new landscaping ideas. I'm also a big fan of riding my bike around some of the nicer neighborhoods like Nichols Hills.

    There are sooo many cool things to do in OKC, but here are some of my favorites:

    * Sean Cummings Irish Pub – The BEST Guinness in town! It just tastes better there.
    * Walking around Lake Hefner
    * Martin Nature Park
    * Bricktown!

    This is such a great city in which to live!

    On a day off I love taking a walk to Edgemere Park and then heading over to Sauced for pizza and beers. Or, we will drive through the old neighborhoods choosing houses we would like to fix up. I have a favorite that I will do my best to snap up if it ever goes on the market.
    This is a great giveaway. Thanks!

    On my days off I like to find a great patio to enjoy cold beers on – like Bossa Nova above Cafe Do Brazil. I'm loving the Plaza District too!

    Favorite days off things include going to the zoo, walking in Hafer Park, picnicking at Faith Park, getting cupcakes from any of the awesome places we have locally, and just enjoying good company. Of course if there are any local festivals going on, I usually go to those as well.

    On my day off I love going to OKCMOA and then shooting pics of downtown with my six year old. He is so interested in the arts and so we try to inspire his creativity by plugging our family into the arts. Just yesterday we shot pics as a family with a band of local photographers… SO much fun!

    This would be a PERFECT way to our little family develop a great little creative.

    I love to go to Saturn Grill or Cuppies and Joe on my days off. You also can't beat $3 burgers at McNellies. When I'm not gorging, I also enjoy riding my bike anywhere and everywhere.

    Every couple of weeks, we enjoy going to the OKC Museum of Art on Thursday nights to see a limited showing of independent films. There is also much fun and excitement to be had at the OKC Farmer's Market when the roller derby is playing.

    I am doing this for my mother who is sitting right next to me…

    She states that her favorite thing to do in Okc is…

    "I love going to Zumba at the YMCA or perhaps a 10 mile bike ride around Lake Hefner, followed by a bite to eat at Mama Roja's, Johnnie's or Hideaway!"

    Thanks for the cool giveaway!!!!

    My favorite thing to do in OKC during my time off is to explore my dessert options: cupcakes at Cuppies and Joes and the Saturn Grill; cookies from Ruth's Sweet Justice; hot chocolate and cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory; and whatever strangely delicious delights that are available at the Homeland down the road from my house.

    My favorite thing to do in OKC, by far, is attend the deadCENTER Film Festival. As a member of the completely amazing film community in this great city, it's always awesome to support local filmmakers and some not-so-local filmmakers!

    Walking around my historic neighborhood and taking my kiddos to the park.

    Sharing art with my children at any number of great Museums and galleries.

    Enjoying Cuppies with my kids.

    Drinking an ice-cold Coop beer to support my neighbors dream/business.

    Working my garden with my brown yet hope to be green thumb.

    Stopping by Big Truck to feed my fix on that spicy yet sweet orange salsa.

    So many good things in OKC.

    Erin :)

    OKC has too many cool things just to pick a couple! But, a really good day off would include a bike ride around Hefner or along the River, a trip to a local coffee shop or frozen yogurt place, and a meal at one of our amazing local restaurants!
