Clean Slates

I’ve talked several times before about my love of/addiction to new notebooks. I’m not sure if it’s something related to designer/creative types or the just the more heavily organized side of my personality, but I love a clean slate. That first page is always the toughest, I don’t want to mar its vast white landscape with my writing. (Sometimes I skip it entirely. Shhh.) But after that it’s smooth sailing, and I can’t help but wonder what ideas will blanket its pages.

I always leave the first page of my notebooks blank too! They’re too pristine and lovely to touch! You’re not alone 🙂

You are most definitely not alone. I also love new notebooks and actually have a “collection” of empty ones laying around. It feels like such a waste to use them. And yes, I also like to leave the first page empty…

I too leave the first page blank! Sometimes I start at the back of a notebook so as not to taint the fresh crisp front pages.

i think for me too it’s being a creative person but also super super organized. i’ve had a thing for pretty notebooks ever since i can remember.

however, simple for ease of writing and reach. evernote.com is my notebook now.

I don’t know why but every time I start a new notebook, I somehow fool myself into thinking my handwriting will be more elegant. It’s never true.

i do the same. the first few pages i take my time writing, then after that it’s all downhill.
