HOZEN

HOZEN‘s collection of bags are all vegan and sustainably made in California because Rae Nicoletti wanted to prove that philanthropy can look as good as it feels. The result is a line that honors and respects the planet. The bags are made from eco-friendly luxury synthetic leather and suede, zippers and thread sourced from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, natural rubber, and remnant rope, and labels and packaging made from organic cotton or post-consumer recycled paper. And it’s all sourced from factories around the world with high standards of ethics, responsibility, and governance. HOZEN’s current collection is made of up of three bag designs in six color options.

Peter Judson

Peter Judson is a London-based designer and illustrator with a flat graphic style that I just can’t seem to get enough of. Whether it’s a detailed city scene, a super simplified design classic, or a collection of colored tilings, Judson attacks each piece with obvious passion and zeal.

Fran O’Neill

It’s difficult not to flat-out ogle the stuttering, tripping paintings of Brooklyn-based artist Fran O’Neill. Not only do I want to hang every single one in my house, I also want to watch as she creates one because I’m betting it’s one fascinating technique.

Roland Kiyola Piano

She’s not cheap, but maaaaaaaan is she pretty. I’m of course talking about the Roland Kiyola Piano. It’s a MoMA Design Store exclusive, handcrafted in Japan by furniture-maker Karimoku. The modern designed digital instrument is minimal all around, but with a sound reminiscent of an acoustic model. I’ve never regretted ending my piano lessons more!

Tuija Heikkinen

A textile designer and arts & crafts teacher from Finland, Tuija Heikkinen uses traditionally crocheted objects to create assemblages that feel fresh and forward. By stacking, arranging, and layering individually stitched pieces she manages to tell sweet little stories in a very thoughtful way.

Casey Weldon / Catharsis

Cats are liquid. Cats rule the world. Cats own the internet. Brooklyn-based artist Casey Weldon took on cat culture and its ever-rising popularity with his Catharsis series of paintings. By falling back on iconography of popular culture his works awaken nostalgia, humor, and the past.

Købn Towels

I’ve never seen a beach towel I would happy hang on my wall, but then I met Købn. Sophie Matson’s line of towels are designed with interior trends in mind rather than beach vibes. They feature fringey edges, drop pile stripes, and the prettiest muted color palette.

ThreadStories

Some of the most intriguing artists in history have gone by a single name, and some of them are a mystery behind their own monicker. Check out the work of ThreadStories. She creates the most incredible masks out of traditional materials that have the most beautifully terrifying effect on viewers.
