Handpainted Porcelain.
This past summer I bookmarked a project on A Merry Mishap on how to jazz up white porcelain dishware with a paint pen. Yes, as in those things you can buy for a few bucks at the craft store. Wouldn’t it be great to personalize a platter or large bowl with a design all your own for someone on your gift list? After completing your design you bake it in the oven at 300ยบ for 35 minutes and presto change-o, instant one-of-a-kind.

December 3, 2010 at 1:37 pmSo weird, I just went to the store to pick up paint to re-do some of my plain dishes. I’m moving into a new apartment and I’m doing a fun cottage, rustic look and the white plates were just a hint too formal. With a couple eclectic florals, though, I think they’ll be perfect!
Thanks for posting this, I need that link as a guide!! (especially because I have shakey hands!!)
