This past summer I bookmarked a project on A Merry Mishap on how to jazz up white porcelain dishware with a paint pen. Yes, as in those things you can buy for a few bucks at the craft store. Wouldn’t it be great to personalize a platter or large bowl with a design all your own for someone on your gift list? After completing your design you bake it in the oven at 300º for 35 minutes and presto change-o, instant one-of-a-kind.

I am by no means an aspiring farm girl, but I love the idea of the vegetable store, a three-drawered wooden storage area for your produce. There was also mention of using it for wine bottles, which I think I’d be much more apt to do. {via the kitchn}

My dream kitchen would be on the industrial side. Lots of metal and glass and white. A wall lined with these metal kitchen racks would be a nice start.
I like a little bit of snark and sass in my daily life, so this illustrated Bathing Girls Tea Set would fit right in! Designer Esther Horncher illustrated the ladies to look as though they’re taking a bath in your tea. The set comes with four cups, saucers, and spoons. {via Design Milk}

Have you noticed, too? Pretty metal utensils covered in lacquer are everywhere I turn. And I love it. My mind is twisting and turning with ideas for projects that I can’t wait to try my hand at!
Posted In kitchen, trendsI love these t-shirt aprons for about 10 zillion reasons.
1. They’re super cute. (Obviously.)
2. They’re easy to make.
3. They’re a great way to save that favorite tee that’s gotten holey.
4. Or take advantage of a great t-shirt sale
5. They’d make an awesome gift.
Okay, five. Five reasons I cannot go on without one.
