The Cupcake Courier.

Here’s the thing: I love to bake. And I love to bake cupcakes more than just about anything. But if I somehow managed to actually eat all that I baked, well, chances are I have a rough time fitting through most doorways (with the exception of those extra-wide ones of course). So when I bake I pawn my goods off on others. But cupcakes? They’re tricky little guys to transport. You have to account for the icing not getting crushed, them sliding into one another and whatever else gets (literally) thrown your way.

So when I saw The Cupcake Courier you can imagine my joy. This bad boy was designed with transportation and storage in mind and is capable of taking on up to 36 cupcakes. Or you can remove all three trays and it can accommodate a cake instead. Genius!

TUKAANI.

As the name suggests, the tucan’s bill was the inspiration behind the design and creation of TUKAANI. The sterling silver TUKAANI is a hand made eating device for Asian food that may be held as traditional chopsticks. The taut movement allows a steady grip in the hand while the curl at the end provides easy delivery to the mouth. The loop also allows easier hanging, storage and display.

Tumbelor.

I’m in love with my simplehuman trashcan, but should things ever fall apart between us I wouldn’t think twice about heading over to the Tumbelor. I kinda sorta love how it’s a modernized version of the mall trashcan! Baby blue, please.

WASARA.

Some people don’t have everyday tableware that’s as nice as WASARA. And it’s made of paper. Aesthetically pleasing, well-designed paper. Because even though each piece can only be used once before being discarded, everything is made from reed pulp and bagasse (sugarcane waste) which are most definitely biodegradable. Yet at the same time WASARA is still extremely sturdy and durable while in use. Lovely design, lovely product.

Handpresso.

I’m obsessed with the Olympics, but they’re absolutely horrible for my sleeping habits! I don’t want to miss anything so I stay up. And then the next day? Yup, you guessed it, I’m at about 25%.

If I could toss the Handpresso in my bag I’d be golden. It’s a portable espresso machine that you operate with a pump, not a plug. Love it.

Recycled Windshield Glasses.

These stemless wine glasses are handmade in Colombia of recycled glass from old car windows. Sturdy and strong, the thick glass has a slight green hue from the tint originally added to lessen the sun’s glare. Also available in beer glasses and a large multi-purpose bowl. Very, very cool.

Creemy.

Holy moly, the Creemy Tea & Coffee Collection is absolutely to die for. I love all of the unexpected angles, spouts and extensions from the pieces. The monochromatic white really lets them shine.

Designer Karim Rasheed explains the bone china pieces best, saying “The British in me always loved tea, my Egyptian in me always loved coffee and I love them both when they are Creemy.”
