Handpainted Porcelain.

This past summer I bookmarked a project on A Merry Mishap on how to jazz up white porcelain dishware with a paint pen. Yes, as in those things you can buy for a few bucks at the craft store. Wouldn’t it be great to personalize a platter or large bowl with a design all your own for someone on your gift list? After completing your design you bake it in the oven at 300º for 35 minutes and presto change-o, instant one-of-a-kind.

Kaleidoscope Patchwork Quilt.

Here’s the thing, I don’t really like a lot of bright colors in my life. A pop here and there is great, but I live much closer to muted tones. And quilts? I own one for summer, but it’s white with light gray stitching. Nothing like this Kaleidoscope quilt that I can hardly keep my eyes off of. The flip side has a sweet floral pattern just in case you need a break or a change.

Vegetable Store.

I am by no means an aspiring farm girl, but I love the idea of the vegetable store, a three-drawered wooden storage area for your produce. There was also mention of using it for wine bottles, which I think I’d be much more apt to do. {via the kitchn}
