Chewing the Cud.

Whether I noticed the tongue-in-cheek monicker or the great design first is a toss up. Chewing the Cud has been all over the blog-o-sphere as of late and I’m definitely a fan. I love the great choice of type and the antique-like illustrations.

Win It: Design For Mankind.

I couldn’t have more love for Erin of Design for Mankind if I tried, so I’m thrilled to announce Win It: Design for Mankind!

dfm’s Inspiration e-zines have taken the design blog community by storm and spawned a much coveted poster in the process. (Check out Issues 1, 2 and 3 here if you’ve missed them!) Thanks to Erin’s generosity, one lucky Design Crush reader will be the proud owner of one of her awesome posters!

The rules are simple. Playing off the idea of inspiration, comment to this post telling me what in everyday life is your biggest inspiration. I’ll choose my favorite answer. You have until Friday, April 25th, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. CST to enter. Make sure to check back at the end of the week to see if you’re the lucky entry. Good Luck!

Chronotebook.

Thanks to my obsessions with both notebooks and planners, the Chronotebook by designer Wong Kok Keong is my favorite winner of the MUJI Award 02 competition by far. I can’t wait to get my hot little hands on one!

Diary schedules are arranged in lines and grids, which are difficult to see and has little flexibility. This notebook makes it clear, intuitive and easy to plan and see your daily schedules.

It’s Pop It’s Art.

It’s Pop It’s Art is built upon a passionate love of both music and art. In pop music, lyrics are the link between the enigmatic emotion of music and the ordered intellect of the listener. Our aim is to reform this connection through uniquely visual cover versions of some of pop music’s most important songs.

Looove these posters! Thanks to coco+kelley for scoping them out first.
