The Daily Eat: Sweet Potato and Ginger Pudding.
Really? Thanksgiving is next week?? Maybe this Sweet Potato and Ginger Pudding will start to put you in the right frame of mind. Very pumpkin pie-like, but without most of the fat.

A pathetic admission: the only time and place I’ve ever eaten crepes was at an IHOP in L.A. while visiting a friend one summer. The word “international” was in the title of the dish though, so that’s got to count for something… right? SO SAD. Now I need a crepe pan so I can make some of these tasty Brown Sugar Strawberry Crepes in my own kitchen!
Posted In recipesSo here’s the thing, these Brown Sugar Scones are vegan. But I never would have known before looking through the recipe (or at the name of the blog). My rule: If it looks good, eat it!
Posted In recipesBrown Sugar and Ginger Marinade. A ridiculously simple marinade that I can’t wait to try my hand at. She used it on beef kabobs, but I’m leaning towards chicken breast. And soon.
Posted In recipesI love summer and all of the fruits and veggies it brings along with it. And I always inevitably think that I’m going to sink into a food-related depression the instant it all goes away. But then fall shows up with all of its delicious, savory, indulgent foods and I’m insanely happy once again. Like this Brown Sugar Almond Pound Cake with Sauteed Spiced Apples.
Posted In recipesThe past week has been a whirlwind of birthday awesomeness! Between my dad’s surprise visit to the best tres leches cake ever I’ve decided that thirty is pretty great so far. And thank you all once again for your warm birthday wishes – they really mean a lot.

Only one thing could possibly improve upon the perfection that is pumpkin… and that thing is BACON. Just like in this recipe for Pumpkin Soup with Bacon and Blue Cheese!
