Uniforma Collection

I’ve been waiting for Little Paper Planes to release the Uniforma Collection for what feels like years, but in reality has probably only been a few months. (I’m a good one for exaggeration.) Kelly Lynn Jones has a superb eye that I knew would translate beautifully to her own pieces. And I was right. The first three products are pocket wallets, camera straps, and art pouches (purses). All are available in four colors: brown, cucumber, watermelon, and blueberry and made of genuine lambskin with brass hardware.

CORIUMI

Be still my geometric-loving heart! Lithuanian husband and wife duo Inga and Arvydas screenprint the most awesome pieces for their shop, CORIUMI. Choose from envelope clutches, zipper pouches, and iPad sleeves emblazoned with their designs.

Olympic Mania

Don’t even get me started on that logo, but the 2012 London Olympics kick off Friday and I couldn’t be more excited – I’m such a nerd. I guess it all started back in the Barcelona Games in 1992, when Kim Zmeskal and Shannon Miller (who I later took a college anthropology course with, FYI) faced off in gymnastics. I recorded it on VHS and rewatched the all-around competition over and over again. Like I didn’t know the end result. There’s just something so captivating about people who work so hard and are so incredibly driven towards something that gets me in the gut. Which is why I’ll be absolutely glued to the television for the next two weeks and go into a mild depression after the Closing Ceremony. Wait, is 32 too late to pick up a sport?

Falconwright

Canadian shop Falconwright has been popping up everywhere lately, and with good reason – look at those graphics! There’s not a one I wouldn’t proudly call my own. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people feel that way because they’re all sold out at the moment. Hopefully they’ll be restocking their amazing leather clutches, wallet pouches, change purses, and card holders sometime very soon. Until then, I’ll be stalking. Er, waiting.

HarLex

I’m not sure when I first found HarLex and their incredible line of handcrafted leather, but I’m glad I did. They have a serious focus on customer personalization, from putting your name on your new leather good to choosing the color of leather and stitching used. All of which results in a unique one-of-a-kind product each and every time. With that sort of business plan it’s hard to go wrong!
