spinthread.

spinthread has been making its rounds for a few months now, but it wasn’t until I saw Erin’s necklace in person at the Alt Summit that I really fell for Lorena’s work. And wow, have I fallen hard. I love her attention to detail and all the vibrant color combinations she uses.

CAJA Custom Nameplate.

I’ve wanted a necklace with my name on it ever since the Carrie necklace on Sex and the City. But up until now there just hasn’t been one that’s struck my fancy quite like the CAJA custom nameplate. Each piece is hand calligraphied and cut with a jeweler’s saw and available in both vermeil and silver. Well worth every penny I suspect. {via Pretty Little Things}

I’m completely smitten with this series of projects on how to make handmade jewelry and accessories. Here are a few standouts that I can’t wait to try my hand at…

Tiny Little Chairs.

I’ve finally found the perfect necklace for a modern design geek such as myself. Tiny Little Chairs is a series of collectable pendants celebrating mid-century design. Each pendant represents a vintage chair that revolutionized design as we know it today. The first series consists of five chairs: The Scoop Chair, The Pavilion Chair, The Dining Chair, The Work Chair. All are available in solid gold, silver and bronze. {via Design Milk}
