Go On, Make One

I’m always messing around with one project or another, but in the past few months I’ve been gung ho on DIY. I don’t know whether I’m just noticing the great projects out there more, or maybe following some new blogs that are chock full of ideas and inspiration. And you know what? I don’t care which it is because I’m feeling more creative than ever. I’ve already started a few of the projects below and thought you might like to take a shot at them as well.

Kimono Washi Tags

Kimono Washi Tags are traditionally used for Japanese kimonos. These stamped versions from Uguisu are meant for use as gift tags, but I think they’d find a home in my books instead.

Brass Number Clips

These brass number clips are clever and only get better with age and patina. I have no doubt they’d quickly become my go-to bookmarks of choice. Maybe I need to pre-order a set to divi up among friends as gifts, too. (via That’s Happy)

Molecule

Molecule is part of the Setcast collection, handmade bone china designed by voonwong&bensonsaw. It also vaguely reminds me of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, whom I love.(via MAIYA)

Otto

I don’t care what all of the HGTV design shows say, I can’t do without fans. I love my two clean-lined ceiling fans. The whir, the breeze, all of it. (I guess that really is all it.) And in summer, so long as the temp is below 80º, I much prefer having the windows open and the fans buzzing. Wouldn’t this Otto Adjustable Industrial Fan be a beauty to add?
