Pod Wall Vase
Pebble-shaped wall vases from Wendy Jung look and feel like an organic utopia. They’re water-tight, so you can use them to hold fresh or dried flowers. Or whatever.

I can’t lie, what first drew me to The Flavour Thesaurus was the graphic cover. But after reading a few reviews on Niki Segnit’s book I was drawn towards the concept, which examines foods by flavor. Segnit teaches you about pairing flavors, what to do with that extra whatever you have lying around, and basically how to become your own on-the-fly chef. It’s also really well organized, set up along the format of Roget’s College Thesaurus. (Which, FYI, I won a copy of in the 5th grade Spelling Bee.)

Geodesic domes are everywhere, surely the birds should have their own! The design, by Kelly Lamb, makes a perfect nesting spot for small species and has an easy access door for cleaning between seasons.

Alyson Provax’s Time Wasting Experiments are an on-going series of letterpress pieces documenting just that, time spent. I like it that Provax refers to them as “permission slips” as well as billable hours of life. {via Teen Angster}

I don’t know how else to explain it, these mesmerizing pieces by Marco Suarez look and feel like home to me. Must be the circles. Circles make everything better.

Break Soap by Dave Hakkens is some kind of brilliant. Natural hand soap is formed into a block with different sized pieces, the dirtier your hands are the bigger the piece you break off. And since you don’t ever touch the entire block, everything is kept nice and hygienic. One block equals roughly ninety hand washes.
{Thanks, Anne!}
Posted In concept, createThe donut vs doughnut debate is an old one, I usually go with the latter. What I’m more concerned about is making these yummy little lumps of dough their own food group. I would own it. (As always, click on the image to be taken to the recipe.)

I’ve been smiling devilishly every time I look at one of Aled Lewis’s Toy Story prints. Maybe you will, too.
