I’m trying to catch my breath but can’t see to. Check this out – a collection of 100 postcards, each featuring a different iconic Penguin book jacket. They’re even packaged in book-like box. WANT.
I waited a little longer than usual to post this roundup of valentine beauties because I wanted to narrow it down to the best of the best. So here they are, the sweetest of the sweets for sending out some love February 14th style!
For the second time this week I’m mad at myself for having been ahead of the game and having my valentines finished. To me doilies normally seem overly stuffy and remind me of crocheting, but these Doily Valentines somehow manage to look chic and clever. I think it’s the decidedly un-Valentine’s Day colors that help get it done. (Note to Self: Ditch the pink and red next year.)
I’m not a huge fan of wallpaper. Mainly because it’s so much more difficult to change on a whim when I get tired of it that paint is. But this wallpaper from Soy Este? This funnest of fun wallpaper based on multiples of everyday objects? This I could totally get behind. Check out the entire selection of brilliance right here. {via Two Brunettes}
One of the things I came away from Alt with – besides a rad goodie bag, fantastic friends and enough knowledge to run a third world country – was a list of new blogs to start pouring over. The one that quickly jumped to the head of the class was Mrs. Lilien. {Thanks to Karey M., of course.)
Kelly Lilen, the mastermind behind it all, constructs beautiful posts based on different types of women, or Mrs. as she refers to them. Each post elegantly creates an image of a lady who prefers a certain type of thing in a perfect stanza of rhyme. Paired with a great layout each and every time, Mrs. Lilien is the sort of thing that I wish I had thought of first because it’s just that good.
Wishing I had seen these darling wood handled Valentine’s Day stamps from Paperfinger before I made my own valentines. They would have been so much prettier (and easier)!
