This recipe for Indian “Espresso” Coffee looks a-maz-ing! There’s actually not even a speck of espresso involved, the creamy froth is the result of whipping coffee and sugar together. Is it just me or does this look highly addictive?
Matthew Sporzynski can do more with a few pieces of paper that I do with, well, anything really. His work is most recognizable from his features in Real Simple magazine – always one of my favorite parts of each issue. Unfortunately, neither he nor his company, Couturier de Cardboard, have an internet presence. So we’re left to drool over his work in silence. {via Twig & Thistle}
I don’t normally go for blended frozen drinks, but his one looks deliciously dangerous. Silky smooth and way too easy to drink ten of. But this is no frou-frou cocktail, there are six – count ’em six – kinds of liquor in a Call a Cab Cappuccino.
Call a Cab Cappuccino – 1 1/2 oz shot of Espresso – Chilled – 1 1/2 oz shot of Godiva Chocolate Liquor – 1 1/2 oz shot of Godiva White Chocolate Liquor – 1 1/2 oz shot of Godiva Caramel Milk Chocolate Liquor – 1 1/2 oz shot of Kahlua – 1 1/2 oz shot of Frangelico – 1 1/2 oz shot of Vodka – 4 scoops of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream – dark chocolate to garnish – optional – piro to garnish – optional
In a blender, add your ice cream & then add in all of the remaining ingredients. Pulse until well blended. Serve immediately. Chill any remaining drink.
I’m obsessed with pot de crème. But I would reveal all the secrets I’ve ever known if you made me one of these. (Are those little cups just the best??)
My eyes are fairly deep set and my skin is fair. A lethal combination that makes me look bedraggled even when I’ve had my eight hours and then some. For the past few years I’ve been using Benefit’s eye bright pencil to combat the vampire look, but it just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
So Sunday I set out to Sephora with a mission to conceal. Man, I love walking into that store, it makes me feel like anything is possible. The consultants are always very knowledgeable without being pushy, not at all like car salesmen for your face. I walked out with Benefit’s erase paste. It has a creamy, smooth texture that covers just the right amount and isn’t at all heavy despite the name. Although I’d be kind of lying if I said I didn’t love that it’s called “paste.”
I’m so ready for fall, it’s my very favorite season. This is the time of year that I miss Pennsylvania the most. The colorful leaves, the crispness in the air, breaking out cozy sweaters and jackets. Everything that’s doesn’t really happen here in Oklahoma. Or if it does, lasts for only a week or two.What activity are you most looking forward now that fall is here?
