Oatmeal Creme Pies take me right back to lunchroom in elementary school. But I guarantee that this version is a lot more healthy than what Little Debbie is cooking up!
With gas prices rising and showing no signs of slowing down, lots of offices are allowing their employees to work at least one day a week from home, eliminating some commuting costs. I, personally, am not a big fan of working from my place. I get easily distracted by things (i.e. kitties, music, my stuff) and have to constantly remind myself about the task at hand. But our office is actually one of many discussing the possibility of working remotely part of the week. Since I’d already had plans to make the third bedroom in my house an office/studio I’ll at least have a place to shut the door and attempt to focus. But this brings up the new issue of having Work-Work things on top of Play-Work things.
I think these MeBoxes might help me differentiate a bit between the two. The ends of each MeBox have a grid of perforated discs that you can punch out to crate initials, numbers, symbols and text. (Really I just want an excuse to buy a few!)
bodum never fails to impress me with their sleekly designed products. They have the gift of being spot-on with everything I lay eyes upon. Like these Yohki canisters. I have something very similar in my kitchen – minus the cool indented lid.
Houses are expensive. And if you’re like me – single and not so high on the Career Totem Pole – they don’t leave much left over to spend on things you want to put inside the house.
I only own two pieces of furniture from them – the NORESUND bedside tables and the EXPEDIT bookshelves. Right now I’m looking at the DOCKSTA dining table and either the GILBERT, NORDMYRA or NORVALD chairs to accompany it in my kitchen. I love the table and have a friend who owns it, so I’m not too worried.
Which chair style would you choose to go with this table?
I’m posting today’s The Daily Eat a little earlier than usual because I’m starving and just saw this recipe for the Sushi Bowl. Can you say yum?? It’s been way too long since I’ve lingered over sushi rolls and although I’m making an attempt to learn how to make my own (it’s not pretty) this deconstructed version looks hours easier!
HA! These Father’s Day cards from jeanfrancisbean are freakin’ hilarious. They had me laughing maniacally at my desk yesterday afternoon when I laid eyes upon them.
Father’s Day is a little over a week away and I’m at a loss as to what to buy both my father and my step-dad. I have the feeling this is going to be a major source of stress this weekend. My Dad lives in Pennsylvania, so I need to account for snail mail transit, too. What’s a girl to do?!
It’s nice here. Living under my rock that is. How did I only just now become acquainted with the lovely work of Ashley G. and Drew? I’m a big fan of the simple shapes and color palettes used in their work. And I do believe that the second piece – I Like Your Scarf – needs to be mine all mine.
I want this. Even if it’s just to go out in my backyard and have a one person picnic. Totally worth it.
Designed to stick in the ground, these accessories take the spills out of picnicking. Bamboo tabletop screws onto a stake. Heavy-gauge stainless-steel holders include four for glasses and one for a bottle.
