July 28, 2009 at 12:05 amwhen my first daughter was born it was the happiest day of my life. then one year later – crappy divorce. nearly 10 years later – second daughter was born. This was my arrival at full restoration. But, in between those two births was my son. The day Sully was born my joy rose to the level it had been pre-divorce.

July 28, 2009 at 12:40 amThe reason for my joy is my miracle baby Sophie, she was born 3 1/2 month premature and spent 78 days in the hospital. She is doing amazing now and will be 1 in October. This would be so adorable in her nursery. I am shoving as much great design down her throat as I possibly can! 🙂

1. Going to Paris in September
2. My brother and his wife will be visiting me in Austin, Texas. All my family live in Australia and I am over the moon at having them come here. I have lived in Austin for 24 years and it will be the first time for them to see Austin.

as soon as I saw this, I thought of my oldest daughter. We have had a very rough few years, and she is a precious, wild, wonderful and unique soul. we just moved into a house and she has her own bedroom for the first time. The reason for my joy is a far away friend, Amanda. I live in the UK now and we haven't seen each other for a while but whenever I'm low I have glimses of her in her blog and she shares the new and exciting things she finds and stories of her adventures. I would send it to her as a surprise (shhh!)
