Moving Windows

I’m 1000% fascinated with this concept from Ken Kawamoto. Moving Windows is a digital projection system Kawamoto rigged up on his balcony that can offer you a view of anyplace in world. Crazy, right?! The beach, underwater, a forest – the possibilities are endless. Hopefully soon we won’t need to change our location to change our environment. THE FUTURE.

Period Clock

When someone finds a new way to translate the passage of time I’m inevitably intrigued. This concept – Period Clock – by artist Tamer Köşeli is just that, a minimalist approach to time that functions with the help of two rotating circles. A little tricky to read at first, but easy once you catch on. It even glows in the dark when the lights go out. (via The Fox Is Black)

Inflatable Brooches + Bracelet

These inflatable jewelry pieces – designed by Kim Buck in 1957 and part of Crafts Collection 12 – are created from gold foil. They remind me of wearable helium balloons and that makes me smile hugely! Just as amazing today as when Buck created them 55 years ago. (via A Subtle Revelry)
