Babel.
Babel is genius design. I know that I always have important scraps of paper on my desk that get misplaced. I think this just might inspire me enough to get organized and show off my scraps in style!

Posted In grand design, officeNot sure I’d put the Everything Holder in my shower because I’m extra weird about shower gunk and nastiness. But I’d love to have a few in the kitchen to catch utensils and tools that I use a lot. The tiles are available in black, white and red and attach with a few pieces of double-sided adhesive.

Posted In grand design, house and home, wallsOut of sight, out of mind. Brilliant design from Jonas Trampedach.
Where Do tea bags go to die?. Usually squashed on the side of the saucer next to the cup, or if you have a little less decorum the table will probably be just fine. Jonas Trampedach has been observing the behaviour of tea drinkers and has evidently been learning a lot. Consequently he has developed a solution to the bag dilemma that is as simple as it is ingenious. With the ‘Tea bag Coffin’, the drinker can tidily bury the bag under the cup and out of the way. RIP.
Posted In grand design, kitchenThis spice stack unit is ridiculously stylish and affordable. It holds salt and pepper as well as two other condiments of your choice. Yes, please!
Posted In grand design, kitchenTom Dixon’s Black Slab Chair is so precariously balanced and minimal that I can’t help but stare. It’s even stackable, which I love. And it’s on sale.

Posted In furniture, grand design, house and homeI think I’ve made homemade soup a grand total of ONCE in my life. But if i owned this tureen and ladle I’d be more inclined to experiment!
…styled in bone china, safe for the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Its shape helps to retain heat, and the specially designed ladle is help upright by a little dimple in the base of the tureen.
Posted In grand design, kitchenHurrah for super functional design! The duality of Nicola from Bern’s Coat Hook & Coat Hanger is genius – it sticks to a conventional towel rail and once flipped over it turns into a coat hook.

Posted In grand design, house and home, wallsI’m not a big sake drinker, but I am big on well-designed barware. And this glass sake bottle would also be the perfect vessel for chilled wines and cocktails. Add ice into the side compartment for instant chill without watering down your beverage!
Posted In entertaining, grand designThe first in a series by artist Ayda Anlagan.
Every Drop Counts is a series of bowls where the bottom of the bowl is subtly inclined to create a whole new way of getting people to finish every last drop. With stories which end at the bottom of the food or with graphic narratives which conclude where the food accumulates, the user is encouraged to finish every last drop. It is the first of a series of objects which are designed to contribute in the reduction of food wastage in the domestic environment.

Posted In grand design, kitchenI love Lampel. It’s a pendant light fixture that allows you to fill the upper portion with whatever your heart desires. I’m partial to the plant, but love how you can change things out to really make it your own. And with the clear glass “shade” it’s versatile enough to go with lots of decor styles!
