A girl after my own heart, artist Madeline Adams is drawn to repetition. Must be why I’m so drawn to her work.

While flipping through some older bookmarks I came across Coco-luxe Confections and immediately started salivating something fierce. The truffle guide is brilliant – I always hate having to guess what’s on the inside. They remedy this by putting the most obvious illustrations on each piece to identify them. And they’re packaging is whimsical without going overboard. Love it.
Posted In food, packagingI’ve mentioned before how I’ll use almost anything I can get my hands on for a bookmark – be it a magazine subscription card to (gasp) a sheet of toilet paper. And though I rarely purchase real bookmarks I always keep my eyes open for interesting ones.
Meet the ABRACADABRA bookmark. It’s meant to help you find your bookmarked place and open it with ease by squeezing an air-filled chamber. When squeezed said chamber puffs up with air giving you just enough space to slip your finger into your reading spot. Currently this product is only in its conceptual phase, but keep your eyes peeled!
Posted In grand design, read upOtsutree – aka graphic artist Theresa ‘Tree’ – has some amazing wooden panels. I’d love to get my hands on that #4! And check out her clothing and prints while you’re visiting!
Posted In create, mixed mediaThe I.V. is rad. (And FYI – I’m bring back to word rad.) I think my living vs dead plant ratio might increase exponentially with something like this around.
This self-watering plant pot’s main feature is a medical drip feed. This unique characteristic allows the plant to be nourished with water and food as it is required.

Posted In grand design, grow itBehr has the absolute best paint chips. That said, the only way to make them better is obviously to give ’em some of their own medicine and letterpress over their loveliness. Paper Stories did a bang up job and the result is nothing short of fabulous.

Splash sticks — plastic plugs for sip holes with tops in the shape of the Starbucks siren to keep your beverage from spilling out. Basically a cocktail stirrer for your coffee as well. All in all a good idea in my book, but I can where it might be a bit of pain to have to remove every single time you want to take a sip.

Posted In grand designI’m silly. Silly because I’ve seen this Break the Routine print just about everywhere but my own living room and paid no attention to where it came from. Of course that would be Studio Mela which I’m now absolutely head over heels for.
