2010 Calendar Roundup #5.

The 12 different illustrated months are printed on 100% recycled PCW, chlorine free papers. It comes with a reusable wood block holder made of reclaimed lumber which has a place for your stray pencil. And you can mail back your used pages to our studio where we will recycle them and give you a coupon for next year’s refill packet! Cards measure 4.25″ x 5″.

Here’s a quick and easy way to keep in tip top shape. Just peel the little variety sticker from every apple you eat and affix it to a square. Keep it interesting. Try a Belle De Boskoop, a Newtown Pippin, how about a Peasgood Nonsuch, or maybe a Turley Winesap. There’s no shortage of combinations and imagine how good you’ll feel, when, after a years time, you’ve filled each square with a colorful little sticker.

This is about as large a poster as you’re going to see coming off of a letterpress—at 18″ x 23″ it takes up almost an entire form. Happy Weekend.

Another one in the books, kids! I spent most of the week playing catch-up from having Monday off, but it was oh so worth it. Now I’m ready for the weekend: the OU/Texas football game, getting treat bags ready for Halloween and some time spent at the dog park. Have a happy weekend!

2010 Calendar Roundup #4.

What’s a Half-Frame Camera you ask? Well, a half-frame camera is a semi-obsolete device that advances each shot only half of the distance that a normal format camera would. The result allows for two shots per frame instead of one.

I have always admired my grandmother’s delicate collection of china. The designs in this calendar were inspired by patterns found on vintage teacups and saucers.

Printed on 100% tree-free cotton paper using environmentally conscious studio practices. Each page was printed by hand on an antique Vandercook No. 4 letterpress. There are seven different ink colors throughout and a very sweet notes section at the bottom of each month for birthdays and important reminders.

The size of the calendar is 4″ wide by 11″ tall and is punched through the top and bound with ribbon. At the end of the year (or before) each month may be trimmed to 4” x 6” and framed.

Inspired by my travels this year in Iceland, England, France, and throughout the United States. Limited edition of 150 (numbered). Measures: 6″ x 11″.

The calendar is letterpress printed using hand carved multiple block linocuts and handset movable type on recycled “chipboard”, printed with a Vandercook SP-20 and a C&P 8×12 in an offblack and deep red inks. The calendar pages were custom designed and printed on 100% recycled paper. It measures 11″ x 15″ with rounded corners and a hole punch at the top for hanging.

These were printed in a limited edition of 42 calendars. Each are signed and numbered on the back.

Our 2010 calendar is a hanging, handbound, accordion-fold book with a letterpress-printed interior, and cover choices include 10 different decorative papers in a range of beautiful patterns. The interior is a heavy, cream-colored printmaking paper, and the names of each month are printed in a light grey, loose script, with days layered over them in a dark grey.
