WASARA.

The WASARA line is a great example of why disposable doesn’t have to equal unattractive. These single-use pieces are made entirely of 100% tree-free renewable materials (sugar cane fiber, bamboo, and reed pulp), and fully biodegradable and compostable. They’re suitable for cold or hot foods, and they’re oil- and water-resistant. Take your pick from three sizes of plates in two different shapes, a segmented tray, bowls, tumblers, coffee cups and wine cups.

Vessels and Wares.

I love this solution for kitchen storage from Vessels and Wares – hanging wheelthrown stoneware bowls. Makes me wish I had more room under my wall cabinets to hang one of my very own, though I’m thinking settling for the single bowl just might do the trick! {via the kitchn}

Ash Wood Cutting Boards.

Made from native Minnesota hardwoods and crafted by a family of woodworkers, these ash wood cutting boards are gorgeous. Carefully cured, sanded, and finished with food-grade mineral oil, they’re moisture-resistant and the perfect statement for prep work on your counter or as a serving piece or trivet on your dinner table. {via the kitchn}

Rice.

Now that warmer weather is kicking in, outdoor entertaining is right around the corner. And while I adore my Fiestaware for indoors I don’t take outside. That’s reserved for one of my favorite things: melamine. And one company that consistently gets it right is Rice, tons of bright colors that are easy to mix and match and scream let’s do this!

Totem.

At first glance, Totem looks like a perfectly normal vase. But then you take a closer look and realize it’s actually four stackable bowls, perfect for storing food or other little trinkets. Each piece is made by hand in New Zealand, making them “perfectly imperfect.” {via Better Living Through Design}
